Pete's ramblings

fri nite - Tonch, Phil and I put Lia Fal up against some poles yesterday and scraped 3yrs of mussels off the hull - a few weak spots possible, wont know until we haul her out for sure but so far nothing looks too serious. Anodes are still there, probably 1/2 worn down but still fizzing. Prop looks good, turns 360 and seems tight in the bearings. One fizzing nut on the rudder blade. Jack and I attacked the bilges today. Two are going to be hard to get to - under the motor. All other compartments have some surface rust but again nothing too serious yet. Chap on a catamarn next to us has offered to come and service our deck winches when he does his in a couple of weeks. Starter motor all go but wont engage with ring-gear - suspect burrs on ring gear. Tonch organising generator and lights so we can get down and dirty with the ring gear tommorrow.
